The Great Loop:
So what is The Great Loop? The Great Loop is the continuous waterway that encompasses the eastern portion of North America including the Atlantic and Gulf Intracoastal Waterways, the Great Lakes, the Canadian Heritage Canals, and the inland rivers of America’s heartland.
For my adventure I will be starting my “Great Loop” in Lexington, Michigan. America’s Great Loop Cruisers’ Association does an amazing job detailing, which you can find out more about each leg of the journey. I will provide links to their site below for each portion of my adventure.

Leg 1: COMPLETED!!! Lexington, MI in Lake Huron to Lake Michigan at Mackinac Bridge: About 322 miles.
Leg 2: Lake Michigan from Mackinac Bridge to St. Joseph, Michigan: About 304 miles. 60 Miles to go…will be back!!!
Side Trip: Completed!!!: The Scioto River in Columbus, Ohio to the Ohio River in Portsmouth, Ohio: 118 Miles and Completed!!! The Ohio River from Portsmouth, Ohio to Cincinnati, Oh: 116.5 miles. 233.7 miles total from Columbus.
